Ms. Xinli Lu received her M.A. degree from Zhejiang University in 1991 and M.Ed. degree from the University of British Columbia (UBC) Canada in 2004.
As a registered holistic nutritionist (R.H.N.), Ms. Lu graduated from the first natural nutrition school in Canada—Canadian School of Natural Nutrition (CSNN), which was established in 1994 and created a new profession in Canada with the title R.H.N. It is also one of the few institutes who are recognized by the two nutritional associations in Canada, i.e. CANNP (https://cannp.ca/),and CAHN-pro (https://cahnpro.org/).
Ms. Lu has mastered the knowledge of fundamentals of nutrition, symptomatology, anatomy and physiology, preventative nutrition, body-mind-spirit, chemistry and biochemistry, cellular biology, pathology and nutrition, pediatric nutrition, sports nutrition, geriatric nutrition, ecology and nutrition, allergies, alternative diets, and nutritional literature and research. In addition, she has rich experience in case studies of analyzing clients’ health conditions and nutrients deficiencies, and provides helpful recommendations to clients in their health management.
Ms. Lu provides long-term nutritional consultation to clients online and offline, based on a 3-month period. Her consultations include diet, lifestyle, body mind, sleeping, stress management, physical exercise, supplementation and other services. She conducts her consultations through face-to-face meetings or online video conferences, from which she gets to know her clients’ health conditions and concerns as well as their lifestyle and habits. Her clients answer a questionnaire on the symptoms they have in the past three months. Ms. Lu writes reports and recommendations for her clients based on the information she gets from the meetings and the questionnaire answered by her clients, together with a 3-day food journal including one day on weekend recorded by her client after the first meeting. In her recommendations, she focuses on the top three systems that the body of her clients has the biggest health issues, and offers suggestions on how to improve their diet, what nutrients the body lacks, what lifestyles suit them, what exercises are better for their health conditions, how to improve their minds, as well as other specific health issues related to the clients.
She focuses on interpretations of nutritional functions on health and disease, helping her clients building up healthy eating habits and lifestyles. Her health assessment is based on symptomatology, along with considerations of the impact on health from various aspects, including digestive issues, detoxification, stress management, movement, environment, heredity, as well as body-mind-spirit connection. Her tailor-made recommendations help her clients balancing all systems within the body in order to reach homeostasis. Ms. Lu’s ultimate goal is to guide her clients to optimal health, wellbeing, happiness, and balance. One of the important parts of her work is to provide her clients with professional inventory of high quality supplements manufactured in Canada, guiding her clients to choose what nutrients the body needs based on clients’ health conditions.
In dietary recommendations, Ms. Lu suggests her clients choose fresh and seasonal local foods to protect local agricultural economy. She opposes using of non-natural additives, food colors, preservatives, and pesticides due to their harms to our body. In addition, antibiotics, environmental pollution, heavy metal toxicity, allergies, radiation, stress, sedentary lifestyle are also among her warnings to her clients.
Ms. Lu is seen often sharing her articles of nutrition and health on her Meipian and Wechat Public Account XIN NUTRITION.
